Make sure your form is sent back in time for the due date or before if possible, (who or where did you read it needs to be returned 10 days before the due date?)

If you are waiting for information you can add a note in the extra section on page 19 explaining more information will be send and list what you are waiting for, and either that you will send it on to ATOS or take it to WCA appointment.

You can do a special or next day delivery make sure you stick the atos prepaid envelope to the front of your envelope and the post office will subtract the cost from your posting.

I have a form to be back by end of week which will be posted today.

Try not to worry and focus on getting all the information on your form and it sent off in time.

:luck

Thanks for your helpfull reply kab I have just looked at the esa50 form again,
I was wrong about having to send it back 10 day before the due date.
I must have been reading it somewhere else.
Probably just the pressure lol.
thanks again. :facehand

Thanks for updating microbar.

The post office only minus the prepaid part from ATOS envelope if its sign for recorded service , not for Special Delivery as I previously stated. Sorry for confusion :doh

For information: My recent special delivery cost £6.35.
The ESA was a pdf filled out on computer and printed out, plus supporting evidence also copied & printed.

I sent my ESA50 by Special Delivery. The following day I checked on the Royal Mail website and could see that it had been received. Definitely worth it for peace of mind, I personally think.

Microbar, I think it depends on time scale you have for returning.
I've used both postal methods, signed for recorded, usually takes a few days is a tracked service, and cheaper than Special Del.
I've used SD this time as the weekend is coming up, and I wanted to be sure it arrived tomorrow as opposed to getting stuck over weekend.

Good luck with finishing your form and getting it sent off. :crossed

It can work in your favour if you are able to leave handing in your ESA50 until the last day. Especially if you think you might fail the medical and may have to pursue the long drawn out appeal process. Since you are able to re-apply for ESA after 6 months after having been deemed “fit for work“, being on assesment rate for a bit longer whilst you strengthen your case with support from professional advocates/welfare advisors. is better than being dumped onto JSA or left with nothing at all.
