This type of story is now becoming so regular. Mentally ill hounded to death until suicide.
I really feel they should supply Euthansia kits as suggested here.

At the protest outside Atos's headquarters last month, one young man, nervous and clearly not accustomed to addressing rallies, took the microphone to explain how his uncle, who had severe mental health problems, committed suicide after the test gave him zero points and found him fit to work.

Dismayed to find his benefit claim rejected, he had appealed against the decision, and won at tribunal. But shortly after that decision, he was called in for another assessment, and for a second time scored zero points and was told he did not qualify for the benefit. He began appealing against the decision again, but a few days before another tribunal date was set, he hanged himself.

Hi Miss B.E.F.
So sad to hear of this suicide, I am sure that it will take more suicides to occur before Cameron & Duncan smith start to have there motives questioned ... but then there never going to know what real disability/struggling every day is like are they, only if they had a taste of it.

Oh dear I'm on my soap box again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... only wish I could get on a soapbox!!!

What's needed is a high profile person who has access to the media/tv in order to tell & show what the wca/atos/dwp are doing to real disabled people who have no way of getting there views heard in the mass media.

I am amazed that such little coverage occurs on tv/media, the only exception as you posted has been in the Guardian paper, maybe when the roll out hits then it could well blow up I hope so.

CALLS for the Government to improve work capability assessments have been made – after a man declared ‘fit to work’ died a month later.

Stephen Hill, 53, of Duckmanton, died in December of a heart attack.

The dad-of-two had suffered heart problems for around two years and was awaiting major heart surgery but following a ten-minute medical examination on November 17 he was deemed well enough to work.

Mr Hill’s brother Anthony, 52, said: “I think the worry put so much pressure on him.

“He knew he didn’t have any energy and was getting out of breath easily but because he had been told by a medical expert he was well he thought he should be all right
