Hi All,

Does anyone know further info regarding Cameron's next round of misery of exposing our highly sensitive health data to criminal Insurance companies like ATOS?

I have sent for a FOI request but that will take a while.

I sent another FOI because I was amazed post office staff are opening our medical forms.

I cannot believe this how can he legally get away with this, I hope he cannot because I feel there is no part of me that is private any-more or belongs to me. I really feel exposed by all these tactics. X(

I think there will be an annoucement in Parliment today.

I opted out of the GP national data base a long time ago, maybe we should all start removing ourselfs from data bases of our health records.

Hi Boxs,

Thanks for that. What do I need to do contact my doctor surgery or hospital to opt out and just state I want to opt out of the GP National database?

So when you removed yourself what does that mean in real life terms? what happens when you go to your doctor or hospital how do they record your visit and consultation?

Regards

bbest

My data at GP has never been sent to the national database.

As for hospital I think they may have that but if they are not going to keep it private I may look into getting it removed but not sure if you can or how you do that.

Seen Cameron on news last night - he says the information given to these research companies will be anonymous and will only be used to get statistics for research.

Hi Nao

I will never believe that as once this b.....d mentions anything he is usually on his way to completing it and is just giving a hint of the inevitable.

I am just making sure when the shit hits the fan either now or later I managed to opt out in time to have a choice.

Thanks Boxs,

I also rang my GP practice today and they told me at the moment only other doctors and staff in the surgery has access to my informstion but she said she would go away and find out if there are any changes, or if I need to do anything now to secure my privacy. She also said she would find out the precedures for the NHS. She said she would try to call me back today but because it was an unusual request?????????????????? it may take a little time.

Obviously no one around my way appears to be thinking 8-|

I will let you know what she says when she gets back to me with more info. Until then thanks for your help.
