I had my Tribunal today, after receiving nil points at my medical at the end of December, and am extremely pleased to tell you all that they decided in my favour!
Thank you to all of you who have answered my questions and for all the helpful info on this site x

In my haste and excitement, I forgot to ask, what happens next?
I assume I have a letter off the Tribunal Service, then something off DWP?

Fantastic news Chardonnay - well done !
No doubt some of the others will let you know what happens next as I haven't got that far yet.
How did you find things at the Tribunal? (mine is in 2 weeks time) Was it similar in any way to the video ?

Im so glad. Your story shows perseverance pays off. Without your strength of mind to fight for what you deserve who knows what position you would be in. As to what happens next. Not saying anything. What happens next is you relax over the weekend and come back to us on Monday. We will tell you what happens and you can spill the beans of what goes on at tribunal. This will give hope and reassurance to others about to go thru the mill. Again well done

I have received my decision notice and it reads that my award of IB is converted into an award of ESA with the work related activity component.
The descriptors satisfied in Schedule 2 ESA Regualtions are: - 1(c) 9 points 2 (c) 6 points
So does this mean that I was awarded points for walking and standing/sitting descriptors?

hi Chardonnay, Schedule 2 refers to Wrag Group descriptors, and yes it appears you were awarded points for:
1. Mobilising unaided by another person with or without a walking stick, manual wheelchair or other aid if such aid can reasonably be used.
(c) 9
Cannot either:
(i) mobilise more than 100 metres on level ground without stopping in order to avoid significant discomfort or exhaustion; or
(ii) repeatedly mobilise 100 metres within a reasonable timescale because of significant discomfort or exhaustion.
2. Standing and sitting.
Cannot, for the majority of the time, remain at a work station, either: 6
(i) standing unassisted by another person (even if free to move around); or
(ii) sitting (even in an adjustable chair)
for more than an hour before needing to move away in order to avoid significant discomfort or exhaustion. Hope this helps.

Hi, seems a long week since the tribunal, and just have a few questions, that some of you may be able to help me with:
About how long does it take to receive anything from the DWP following my Tribunal?
Will my payments be backdated, as I have been receiving assessement rate ESA?

How long it takes is variable, depending on the backlog in the office dealing with your claim. Your back payments will be dated from the original DM decision, which is now overturned.

Hi Chardonnay and everyone else. - I have now also won my appeal, going from 0 to 15 points, so more good news for us !!!
My tribunal was on Friday and they gave me the letter showing where I had scored points straight away.
The clerk said I didn't need to do anything as she will send copy of decision to dwp, but she did say if I hadn't heard from them in a couple of weeks I should give them a call.
I know though that there are massive backlogs so am prepared for a wait.

Congratulations Nao!
I've decided to also sit back and wait, as then I'm not prompting them to send me to one of those work related interviews!

Hi - just an update for Chardonnay and anyone else nearing Tribunal.
I received my DWP letter today confirming how much back payment I would get, and to my surprise the money is actually in my account today ! This has taken less than 2 weeks since my Tribunal date so I am quite pleasantly shocked. I have read here and on other forums that people are waiting months for their money so I was prepared for a lengthy wait.
Don't know if it's anything to do with what area you are in - I'm just outside Glasgow.

That's great Nao!
However, four weeks later, I have still not had any letter from Dwp!
And what is concerning me now, is that my fit note (for 3 months) expires the end of the week, will I still have to send one of these in?

I was on IB for 4 years, then in February I was transferred over to ESA and placed in the WRAG group, with no medical. I appealed the disition stating I believe I should have been placed in the Support group with all the medical evidence I sent them. 5 months latter I received a letter from another desertion maker saying they have reconsidered my claim and I have now been placed in the Support group and I will be reviewed in 12 months time. :YMAPPLAUSE
